Smart city lighting In Casablanca, Morocco’s largest port, Flashnet and its partner, Optimum Light, have implemented a smart lighting upgrade tailored to the port’s demanding operational needs. The project involved the installation of 1,174 pole-mounted luminaires, enabling autonomous operation and real time control via Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) communication. Following a full transition to LED lighting, the port selected inteliLIGHT® for its ability to adapt to demanding high performance lighting (950W luminaires) and to deliver precise, detailed power metering. Through dynamic dimming and remote access, the system not only optimises energy consumption and reduces carbon footprint but also improves visibility and safety in key operational areas, such as the port’s rail tracks and container zones.
