Outdoor events Blakley Electrics designs and builds robust power units used in outside broadcast events around the world, from major sporting fixtures to live entertainment. Each unit weighs around one tonne and acts as a reliable hub, safely distributing power to multiple systems on site. These assemblies are built with real-world use in mind. They are easy to transport, quick to install and simple to maintain, while performing reliably in different climates and on both 50Hz and 60Hz power supplies. Durability is critical, as the equipment must withstand frequent moves and long service lives. The power units are housed in tough stainless-steel enclosures with weather protection, mounted in heavy duty frames that can be lifted by forklift or crane and shipped in standard containers. Clear viewing panels allow operators to check system status at a glance, while built-in heaters help protect performance in colder conditions. Inside, the system intelligently manages incoming power and safely distributes it through multiple protected outlets, ensuring dependable operation, strong safety standards and peace of mind for broadcast crews working under pressure.
